Thatcher Building for Biological and Biophysical Chemistry

The Thatcher Building for Biological and Biophysical Chemistry provides critical science and laboratory spaces that shape not only the future of the Chemistry Department, but also the overall character of the University itself. This facility holds amazing potential for the development of key future science professionals in critical chemistry disciplines who will conduct research crucial to shaping a hopeful future for our community, our country, and our world. The addition to the existing Henry B. Eyring Chemistry Building at the University of Utah included state-of-the-art classrooms, offices, laboratories for chemical research, and support spaces. The building integrates with the surrounding historic campus and includes very complex equipment and laboratory spaces. All this was made possible by the generosity of the Thatcher Family.
